Oud-Vossemeer is the place where, according to the municipality, the ancestors of the former US Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and his cousin Franklin Delano Roosevelt were raised. Ggranddaughter and grandson of Franklin Delano Roosevelt attended the opening.
